9-28-09 Monday Night Football Victory

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

The Moneymaker released the Cowboys -9 on Monday Night Football.  The Cowboys overcame their 3rd straight sluggish start to come away with the cover and the victory.  The Panthers fall to 0-3 and look like a team on the verge of imploding.

 Cowboys -9  WIN

9-27-09 NFL Handicapping Summary

Monday, September 28th, 2009

The Moneymaker released 6 games on Sunday in the NFL.  Here are the results of those games:

Giants -6.5   WIN    Tampa Bay didn’t pick up a first down until well into the 3rd quarter, and finished the game with less than 100 yards of total offense.  Nothing else needs to be said.

Detroit +6.5  WIN   Another underdog straight up winner for the Moneymaker.  Detroit snapped it’s 19 game losing streak by holding on to be Washington.

Chicago -2  WIN   Another week, another come from behind victory by the Bears.  Playing without its starting QB, Seattle played tough, and hung in the game.  Two missed field goals proved costly.

Bills +6  loss   Buffalo was in striking distance deep into the 3rd quarter, but it’s offense was just that…offensive.  New Orleans high powered offense was held in check for most of the game, but still proved too much for Buffalo.

Steelers -4  loss   Super bowl championship caliber teams are supposed to put games away. Instead, the Steelers kept the door open just enough for the Bengals to comeback and steal the win.

Cardinals -2.5  loss  Playing back to back cross country road games didn’t slow down the Colts.   Indy piled up over 500 yards of offense and Arizona couldn’t answer.

9-26-09 NCAA FB Handicapping Review

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

The Moneymaker released 6 NCAAFB Games this weekend.  Here are the results:

Missouri -7  WIN    The Tigers went on the road to Reno, NV and talent took over.   What was a back and forth close game, finally stretched out to a two score victory for Mizzou.

TCU +2.5  WIN   Another underdog S/U winner for the Moneymaker.   TCU kept the dreams of the Moutain West Conference alive at least for one more Saturday as they go to Clemson and pull off the upset.

Cincinnati -16  loss   The Bearcats coming off a big road win, didn’t look like they had much left in the tank.  Fresno St. played hard the entire game, but fell just short of pulling off the upset.

Kentucky +22  loss   Kentucky had a chance to make a statement to the nation on Saturday night.  They made a statement.  They are not ready for primetime competition.  Florida rolled even with Tebow missing the 4th quarter and numerous players having the flu.

BYU -16  WIN  The Cougars bounced back after a big home loss last week to FSU.  The BYU defense continues to have issues, but the Cougar offense did just enough to cover the number.

Miami,FL  -2  LOSS  The Hurricaines were caught up in a storm, and their hopes of an undefeated season were washed away by halftime.  Virginia Tech came to play…and they dominated the entire game.

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Dolphins/Colts UNDER 42  loss  The Moneymaker tried to continue his hot streak in the NFL but a 24 point 4th quarter proved too much.  The Colts had 2 scoring drives of less than a minute. Even with the Dolphins controlling the ball the entire 3rd quarter the game still went over the total.

The Moneymaker released 6 NFL games on Sunday, going 5-1 and living up to his billing as THE MONEYMAKER!!  Here are the picks and summaries from the games:

Atlanta Falcons -6  WIN   The Falcons were paced all day by Michael Turner.   Pounding the ground game, and mixing in some play action, the Falcons won this important division matchup.

Seattle Seahawks +1.5  loss   The 49ers jumped out to an early lead thanks to Frank Gore and his long TD runs.  The Seahawks fate was sealed just before half when their QB went down with an apparent rib injury.

Baltimore Ravens +3  WIN   The Ravens win again thanks to their balanced offensive attack.  The defense surrendered over 400 yards through the air, but stiffened when it mattered and held the Chargers on a 4th and 2 deep in Ravens territory to end the game.

Minnesota Vikings -10  WIN  The Vikings got off to another slow start, but eventually wore down the undermanned Lions team.   Minnesota is winning with its running game and defense, only asking Favre to manage the game.

NY Jets +4  WIN  The Jets talked the talk all during the week and on Sunday they backed it up.  Pressuring Brady throughout the game, the Jets made a statement.  The AFC East is up for grabs.

NY Giants +3  WIN  The Giants capitalized on some favorable bounces and made the Cowboys pay for Romo’s mistakes.   Eli Manning picked the helpless Cowboys secondary apart all game long, and staked its claim as the class of the NFC East.

9-19-09 NCAAFB Handicapping Summary

Sunday, September 20th, 2009

The Moneymaker released the following 6 NCAAFB Games on Saturday.  Here are the picks, results and summary:

Virginia Tech -4.5  loss    The Hokies were outplayed all day long, but somehow managed to do just enough on offense at the end of the game to pull out the 1 point victory on their home field.

Baylor -10  loss   Baylor played like Baylor historically has played….terrrible.   Without their starting QB and their backup QB suffering from the flu, UCONN still had enough in the tank to control the game from start to finish.

BYU -7 loss   The Cougars were bounced from the national cinderalla scene after getting trounced by a FSU team that struggled to score last week vs. a Div 1-AA opponent.  BYU must have been reading their news clippings the past week.

Air Force -17  WIN   Air Force jumped all over New Mexico right from the start.  Vegas still hasn’t caught up with just how terrible this New Mexico team is.

Cincinnati -1  WIN   The Bearcats are flying under the radar on the national scene, but they may be the best team you aren’t aware of.  They went on the road to OSU and took it to the Beavers.

Arizona +5  loss   Arizona failed to capitalize on chances in the first half, and Iowa’s defense stuffed them in the 2nd half.   Iowa proved a lot with a solid home victory on Saturday.
